As a technical computer scientist, you are well-prepared to support hardware and software development projects with your specialist knowledge. You will do a lot of programming and communicate with colleagues. Depending on the field of application, the course is combined with vocational training as an electronics technician for devices and systems or IT specialist.

Job description:

  • You create application-oriented solutions for the industrial environment
  • You set up robots, smart sensors, and automation and network engineering
  • You develop software for in-house applications and customer projects
  • You provide service and support in the automation environmen

Details of the dual study program:

  • University: Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe, Lemgo
  • University degree: B.Sc. - Bachelor of Science
  • Training occupation:   electronics technician for devices and systems or IT specialist for application development m/f/d
  • Start of training: August 1st, 2026
  • Standard period of study: 6 semesters
  • Total training period:  4 years

You can later apply what you've learned in your future role in the sales department.

Requirements:

  • You have or will acquire advanced technical college entrance qualification or general qualification for university entrance
  • You have German language skills at the C1 level
  • You have strong logical thinking skills
  • You show personal commitment and curiosity
  • You are performance-oriented and well-organized
  • You have good communication and teamwork skills
